“…Nouh (2012) The people must not do anything to endanger the rights of future generations, such as damaging the environment due to the consumptive nature of humans today. The importance of taking care to engage in sustainable development, especially to the environment is based in an Islamic perceptive on a responsibility and concern for nature, such as maintaining benefits for all aspects of life including animals and the environment (see Ahmadi 2016) and a recent literature review on the subject issue related to Shariah and waste management by Al Haq and Abd Wahab (2019).…”

Islam explains the importance of the economy through the commands of the Qur'an and As-Sunnah (Al Haq and Abd Wahab 2019). According to Chapra (2008), Islam encourages business and economic activities because of Maqashid, namely through the context of social benefits.…”

“…The Maqasid Shari'ah, are one component that connects Shari'ah principles to ESG and sustainability in general. According to Haq and Wahab [18], the parallels between Maqasid Shari'ah and the sustainability paradigm arise from the emphasis IOP Publishing doi:10.1088/1755-1315/1102/1/012080 4 on stakeholder benefit. The researchers say that the Islamic perspective on sustainability centers on humans' duty to nature, which arises from the belief that people are just managers rather than proprietors.…”

“…It is central to recognise the importance of entrepreneurship in fostering life sustainability for the mutual well-being of individuals and society at large. Al Haq and Abd Wahab (2019) emphasised the relevance of maqasid al-Shariah and sustainability in assuring asnafs' continued development as well as that of their future generations who may benefit from a sustainability programme. Asnaf muslimpreneurs, in our case, are based on a group of asnafs who are eager to engage in entrepreneurial activities to sustain their lives without relying too heavily on monthly zakat assistance, which is static and fixed and may not contribute much to improving their quality of life.…”

“…Business experience, business justice, well-being and financial wisdom are among them. Though studies such as Al Haq and Abd Wahab (2019) and Tuan Mahmood et al (2021) have looked into asnaf sustainability programmes or businesses, their focus has been broad, and no specific variables have been developed to assess asnaf businesses, implying that more empirical research is needed to close the gap.…”
