The main projects and development status of noise forecasting and controlling on working face in coal mine

Abstract: Noise from the machine on coal working face seriously influenced the miners' physical and mental health, and also, due to the noise, there may be a major hidden danger in safety from accidents as all safety warning signals may be masked by the noise. This paper summarized the features of mine environmental noise on working face, such as the variety of noise sources, the continuity of high intensity and slow attenuation in narrow space, etc. The main projects about noise forecasting and controlling on working f… Show more

“…dumper trucks and cooling fans from bulldozers whose output is 0.25-0.5 kHz and 0.3-3.5 kHz, respectively (Vardhan et al, 2004;Vardhan et al, 2005). However, rock cutting drills produce dominant frequencies between 2 and 4 kHz (Pal et al, 2006), resulting in a broad spectrum of frequencies at the workface of coal mining sites (0.32 kHz to 8 kHz), but most in the mid to high range (Peng et al, 2010).…”

“…(4) Safety and reliability principle The mining engineering system works with a wide range of projects, which are huge and subject to certain risks of natural factors. There are many uncertain risks, especially in the production of underground mines, compared to the general engineering activities that require a higher level of safety and reliability [29]. This requires strengthening the cultivation of safety and quality awareness among mining engineering practitioners, reinforcing the awareness of ensuring safe and reliable quality, and correctly handling the relationship between production and safety.…”

“…With the continuous advancement of mechanization and automation in coal mining, the industry has enjoyed remarkable improvements in productivity and efficiency. However, as mining operations reach greater depths, the geological and coal seam conditions become increasingly complex and challenging to manage [1][2][3][4][5]. This added complexity introduces a host of hidden geological factors that, if not properly addressed, can rapidly escalate into severe disasters [6][7][8].…”
