The m W − m Z interdependence in the Standard Model: a new scrutiny

Abstract: Abstract:The m W − m Z interdependence in the Standard Model is studied in the M S scheme at the two-loop level, including the known higher-order contributions. The relevant radiative parameters, ∆α(µ), ∆r W ,ρ are computed at O(α 2 ) taking into account higherorder QCD corrections and the resummation of the reducible contributions. We obtain m W = 80.357 ± 0.009 ± 0.003 GeV where the errors refer to the parametric and theoretical uncertainties, respectively. A comparison with the known result in the On-Shell … Show more

“…1 Left as a purple dashed contour. As anticipated, the limit on C H is very weak [22,23]. The constraint from the combination of LHC Higgs and diboson data is shown as a solid blue line, and we see that measurements of the Higgs couplings provide a bound on C H□ of the same order as the EWPO fit.…”

“…Some of the POs that were used at LEP have now been calculated at the two-loop level, see Refs. [76][77][78][79][80], and twoloop renormalization of the full SM has been completed in Refs. [75,81,82].…”

“…The GPD acceptance is defined as; |η| < 2.5, p T > 25 GeV, p ν T > 25 GeV, p W T < 15 GeV. 3 For LHCb, the kinematic acceptance is defined to be 2.0 < η < 4.5 and p T > 20 GeV. The possibility of cut on p ν T and/or p W T is obviously excluded for LHCb.…”
