“…Neutron elastic scattering experiments were performed using the high intensity total scattering spectrometer ͑HIT-II͒ installed at the spallation pulsed neutron source generated from a 500 MeV proton booster synchrotron at the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization KEK, Tsukuba, Japan. 5,6 Scattering intensities were measured individually for the samples, background, the empty cell, and a vanadium rod having the same dimensions as the cell. After corrections for background, absorption, multiple scattering, and incoherent scattering, the measured intensities were normalized to absolute units using the scattering, from the vanadium rod.…”
