The load balancing based on the estimated finish time of tasks in cloud computing

Abstract: The performance parameters are parameters with which we measure and test the profitability and the performances of several static or dynamic load balancing algorithms. The static load balancing algorithms, share the client query between virtual machines in a data center for the processing. But, there is a problem when it comes to the current load of each virtual machine. The dynamic algorithms as "Efficient Response Time Load Balancer" and "Mini time processing load balancer" prove to be a solution to respond to… Show more

“…But there are some problems that arise pertaining to the existing load of each virtual machine. The dynamic algorithms such as “efficient response time load balancer” and “mini time processing load balancer” demonstrate a solution to such problems [ 18 , 19 ]. The importance of these algorithms, before assigning a task, they search the allocation tables on the VM, response time, or the processing time.…”

“…A novel weighted signature–based load balancing (WSLB) algorithm finds the load assignment factor for each host in a data center and maps the VMs according to that specific factor. In this method, the highest configuration host has the maximum load assignment factor and lowest one has less and so on.…”

“… Starvation may occur to tasks with low priority and may never execute if priority jobs keeps coming. [7] EFLB  Did not consider the load of a VM before task allocation are carried out.  Only one parameter (finish time) considered.…”

“…The experiment was evaluated using CloudSim simulator and results shows minimum task execution time and task transfer time. [7], proposed a new load balancing algorithm called estimated finish time load balancer (EFLB) that takes into account, the current load of the virtual machine in a datacenter and the estimated finish time of a task before any allocation. In this technique, tasks are randomly assigned to each virtual machine and their processing time in the allocation table is initialized.…”
