The Limits of Superpower: The United States and the Soviet Union since World War II

Abstract: Superpowers are of critical importance in the regulation of global affairs. Since World War II, the U.S. and the Soviet Union imposed a bipolar order that had worldwide repercussions. Now that the Cold War has ended and the Soviet Union has disintegrated, the eyes of the world are on the US., as the sole remaining superpower and on its role in the "new world order."
