The Latino Resident Physician Shortage: A Challenge and Opportunity for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Abstract

PurposeThe purpose of this study is to examine the number of Latino physicians in residency training and Latino resident physician trends in the nation's 10 largest medical specialties in the United States and in the 4 states with the largest Latino populations:

Everyday discrimination and trajectories of transdiagnostic symptoms of depression and anxiety among young adults during the COVID-19 pandemic.

T1 = Time 1; T2 = Time 2; T3 = Time 3. and death rates were observed among predominantly low-income communities in Los Angeles county (Martinez et al, 2020). Together, these data suggest that Chicago and Los Angeles were significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and that minoritized groups in these areas may have faced a disproportionate burden, highlighting the importance of understanding related changes in mental health during the pandemic.…”
