FORMER FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Area), is the most praiseworthy part of Pakistan, always deemed to be the rudimentary part of Pakistani province known as KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa). After countless efforts and protracted delay, it came into being on 31st, May 2018. However, after this historically important incident, many changes were observed in the overall economy as well as the sanctuary situation of the country. Very little research is available to highlight the positive as well as negative impacts on domestic sanctuary. Therefore, keeping in view the above-explained scenario present study is devised to highlight all these concerns as well as future perspectives to put Pakistan on the success staircase. In this study, various aspects of FORMER FATA are highlighted including the unification of cultural attributes of FORMER FATA and KPK, conversion of the Jirga method into legal management, transfiguration of educational set up from Madrassa to schools, colleges, and universities. The Domino effect of this study enlightens the unsatisfactory attitude of government authorities for bringing up the living standards of inhabitants of FORMER FATA along with dawdling development projects. Therefore, it is the utmost need of the hour for government authorities to understand the subject matter and reconsider the attributes of FORMER FATA by considering it vital part of KPK as well as of Pakistan.

In this paper, I draw upon the ‘systems theory’ approach to miscarriages of justice (adopted by Nobles and Schiff) to reflect upon my experience as a member of the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission. I demonstrate how the Commission manages the tensions between the rather different ‘legal’ and ‘lay’ worlds which it inhabits. More particularly, I argue that the Commission, while heavily constrained by the law and a legal world view, is more independent of the legal ‘system’ than some commentators would suggest. I substantiate my arguments through describing some of the debates that took place within the Scottish Commission and analysing in depth the judgements of the Scottish appeal court in some of the cases referred to it by the Commission. Much of what I say is applicable in varying degrees to the English Commission and to the current debate in England as to what constitutes a ‘miscarriage of justice’.

This research article reports how Hosseini's novel The Kite Runner depicted subaltern women characters and their consciousness regarding the injustices imposed on them. There have been a limited number of female characters in the novel, albeit they have been enough to explore the ground reality of their contemporary time. This study utilized subaltern theories, particularly those developed by Ranajit Guha and Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak, to explore the depiction and consciousness of subaltern women characters in the novel. The findings of this article reveal that the majority of the women characters were victimized and ignored in society because of their socio-cultural stereotypes and national and international intervention in their lives. As a result, they were deprived of the opportunity to follow their passions and make their own decisions, not only in their society but also within their families. This study further shows how social, cultural, and religious milieus became responsible for making them invisible and unheard in their own society. In addition, this study sheds light on how patriarchal ideology became an indispensable component of women's marginalization by restricting their voices, freedom, and social mobility. However, the majority of the female characters developed their consciousness about injustices against them and resisted such injustices by breaching long-established social and religious norms and values in their society. In a broader sense, this study will have important significance in unfolding subaltern women's ground reality in further study.
