Abstract: Reactive oxygen species (ROS), reactive nitrogen species (RNS) and diffusible reactive species (DRS), under certain concentrations, play an important role at the physiological level. The role of antioxidant molecules, endogenous and exogenous, is to maintain adequate amounts of ROS and RNS.
