The Investigation of Relationship Among Students’ Online Learning Readiness, Satisfaction and Academic Achievement Levels

Abstract

The target of this study is to investigate the relationship among associate degree students’ online learning readiness, satisfaction and academic achievement levels taking English I course. The study was conducted with the exploratory sequential design, one of the mixed method research designs. In the study, it was deduced that students’ online learning readiness and satisfaction levels were high in the overall scale and their academic achievement was at a good level. Moreover, a very strong positive correlation was found between students' readiness and satisfaction. Yet, no significant correlation was found between students' readiness and academic achievement, and their satisfaction and academic achievement. Students generally had positive opinions about online learning environment. In addition to being able to access course materials easily and comfortably, the teaching methods and assessment and evaluation techniques used by the lecturer were some factors that increase students' satisfaction.
