“…As for the way of investigation of surface deformation, the deformation of frozen ground due to phase changes of water is often accompanied by electromagnetic radiation phenomena, Efremov (2020) uses radio magnetotellurics (RМТ) to monitor electromagnetic radiation changes during seasonal thawing of the ground surface at an experimental station in Yakutsk, and the data monitored by this method can be used as a basis for local assessment of surface deformation. The case of monitoring the problem of thawing and sinking of some gas pipelines located in South Yakutia also relies mainly on field geological investigations followed by an assessment of the pipeline operational conditions (Strokova et al, 2016). The above surface deformation survey methods require a lot of time, money and labour costs, making them unable to meet the needs of the entire city's surface deformation monitoring.…”
