“…Bern (1964) found a satisfactory effect of alpha-chymotrypsin in patients who had undergone operations on the biliary tracts. The investigation was carried out as a double-blind trial, and the effect was evaluated from measurements of cutaneous oedema using Aldrich's (1924) intradermal test with sodium chloride.
