The Influence of SLS Process Parameters on the Tensile Strength of PA2200 Powder

Abstract: In the process of selective laser sintering, the forming parameters will affect the dimensional accuracy and performance of the forming parts. At present, there is no reference standard for the optimal forming parameters of PA material. Aiming at this problem, the three factors of laser power, scanning pitch and scanning speed are analyzed, and the influence of the tensile strength of PA2200 material forming parts is analyzed. Through theoretical and experimental analysis, the optimal combination of process pa… Show more

“…Since the parameters supplied by the manufacturer for each material were used, the aim was not to monitor the effect of laser power, scanning speed, or scanning pitch. It was observed [ 82 ] that the mentioned parameters affected tensile strength results. It was found for PA_2200 [ 82 ] that the best parameter combination was laser power 40 W, scanning speed 3000 mm·s −1 , scanning pitch 0.4 mm, and tensile strength up to 46.42 MPa, from the perspective of tensile strength, processing cost, and processing cycle.…”
