Abstract:Abstract. Many researchers have used simulation to investigate the spread of congestion in networks. These researchers often find that congestion can be modeled as a percolation process, spreading slowly under increasing load until a critical point. After the critical point, congestion spreads quickly throughout the entire network. The researchers also identify various measureable signals that arise around the critical point. These findings appear quite promising as a theoretical basis for monitoring regimes t… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
