Abstract: Experimental and clinical studies have revealed the influence of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) signaling on the development of non-alcoholic liver fibrosis. Currently, the results of experimental studies demonstrate that inhibition of AMPK promotes fibrogenesis, while its activation prevents the development of liver fibrosis.
