“…PdCl 4 2– could be formed by the reaction of Pd(H 2 O) 4 2+ cations (from Pd(NO 3 ) 2 in aqueous dissolution), with chloride anions (from H 2 PtCl 6 ) contributing to augmented Pd dispersion due to positively charged alumina-like domains on SBA-15 under acidic impregnating solutions conditions, being then able to adsorb compensating anions. As already mentioned, impregnation under acidic conditions could affect the stability of used supports, possibly redistributing aluminum species as observed during PtCl 4 impregnation on LaAlO 3 where crystallinity losses were evidenced . In contrast, adsorption on Al entities highly dispersed on the SBA-15 surface (where properties of mesoporous silica predominate) was not favored as the latter could be negatively charged under aforementioned conditions .…”

“…Pt-based catalysts are often used due to their ability to break C-C bonds and their efficiency for SR/WGS reactions [ 16 , 20 ]. Many studies about H 2 production by the APR of glycerol over Pt-based catalysts have been reported [ 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 ].…”
