The influence of IAPT and CBT on our profession: What might it mean for us and where should we stand?

Abstract: It would be suffice to say that the powerful influence of CBT on the profession of clinical psychology divides the opinions of psychologists. Recently the events of IAPT and NWW have been central in considering the influence of CBT and its relationship to the future of the profession. This article discusses the risks and potential of these developments to help inform and calibrate a professional stance.
