The goal of the paper is to represent the energy efficient activities on an ecological solar house and to improve its ecological solar compositionality. The subject of this paper is the optimization of energy consumption, insulation capacity, optimization of air and other parameters, all in view of reaching and improving energy efficiency and ecological aspect when designing solar passive houses. Having analysed micro and macro influences and taken into account the energy factors of a parcel of land, the structure is envisioned through the application of an indirect-passive approach, so as to have the passive solar structure simultaneously as a solar collector and heat storage, while the emphasis is put on an optimal, efficient and ecologically functional design. In order to make the process of construction of the ecological solar house a compatible and energy efficient one, constructing the structure with ecological materials is foreseen. In accordance with this, in this paper a representation of the design of the ecological solar house is provided, with the optimal use of solar energy and heat in focus.

Experimental investigation of solar/wind hybrid system for irrigation in Konya, Turkey

In this study, an experimental research for agricultural irrigation was completed for a renewable hybrid power generation system consisting of photovoltaic panels and wind turbine which can be considered as an alternative to Diesel generators used for pumping applications. Generated electricity was used to power a 300 W DC-driven submersible pump at 2.5 m depth of the ground level. Overall efficiencies of the wind turbine and cell efficiencies of the photovoltaic panels in July 2011 were calculated as 33.3% and 10.07%, respectively. It was observed that the daily mean of produced electricity by the system in July was enough to pump daily average 44.1 m 3 /day of water from the depth of 2.5 m and totally 1368 m 3 of water during the month. It was calculated that the amount of pumped water is sufficient to meet water need of the agricultural products that were 12.4 decares of sugar beet, 13.0 decares of potatoes, 13.4 decares for corn, 13.6 decares green bean and 10.8 decares for sun flower with the drip irrigation method. It was demonstrated that the renewable hybrid energy system enables to save the 10410 USD on energy in twenty-year period after the basic payback period of 5.7 years. In addition, the net present value and internal rate of return of the project were found to be 7361 USD and 12.6%, respectively.

The disappearance of natural resources, development of environmental awareness and need to rationalize their spending, and in order to reduce the cost of energy production, caused an increasing need for the development and use of renewable energy sources (RES).Larger use of RES would provide energy security and lower energy imports.Of all forms of RES in R. Serbia, the biomass energy potential comes first.There has been considered legal framework relevant to the use of RES at the European level and within the boundaries of the R. Serbia. The authors point to the need for further harmonization of domestic legislation with global and European trends in the field of RES, as well as obligations from ratified international documents and the European integration process.The article also shows the potential of RES in agriculture as well as the actual state of exploitability in R. Serbia. Increasing the use of RES in R. Serbia can help diversify Serbian's energy supply, create growth and jobs, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
