This study presents a discussion concerning the impact of village governance quality on farmers' life experience satisfaction using a multiple linear regression model. Accordingly, there is an analysis regarding the heterogeneity of the impact of village governance quality on farmers' life experience satisfaction from the perspective of income differentiation and career differentiation. The results show the following: (1) The improvement of village governance quality is conducive to improving the satisfaction of farmers' life experiences. Among them, the living and social conditions have the greatest impact, followed by village cohesion, and then village inclusiveness. (2) From the perspective of income differentiation, the quality of village governance plays the largest role in promoting the life experience satisfaction of middle-income farmers, followed by low-income farmers, and then high-income farmers. (3) From the perspective of occupational differentiation, the quality of village governance has the largest role in promoting the satisfaction of part-time farmers' life experiences, followed by full-time farmers, and then non-agricultural farmers. Based on the research conclusion, it is suggested that strengthening the quality of village governance and paying attention to the differentiation of the farmers' economy and occupation will improve the satisfaction of farmers' life experiences.

As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly embedded in government operations, retaining democratic control over these technologies is becoming ever more crucial for mitigating potential biases or lack of transparency. However, while much has been written about the need to involve citizens in AI deployment in public administration, little is known about how democratic control of these technologies works in practice.This chapter proposes to address this gap through participatory governance, a subset of governance theory that emphasises democratic engagement, in particular through deliberative practices. We begin by introducing the opportunities and challenges the AI use in government poses. Next, we outline the dimensions of participatory governance and introduce an exploratory framework which can be adopted in the AI implementation process. Finally, we explore how these considerations can be applied to AI governance in public bureaucracies. We conclude by outlining future directions in the study of AI systems governance in government.

The empowerment as well as welfare impact of the implementation of the Feminisation of Poverty Alleviation Program (PFK Program) on its beneficiaries – the underprivileged Female Household Heads (KRTPs)- in East Java, can be considered as range from low to moderate. In this, there is a need for furthering the empowerment impact of the program, which can be done, amongst other, through the adoption a social business model, namely Business Model Canvas (BMC). This study aims to examine key partners’ role in supporting the adoption of Business Model Canvas (BMC) elements for a government-initiated entrepreneurship program at the grass-roots level. The study employs qualitative case study research using observation, document analysis and interviews with 98 key partners in four districts (Banyuwangi, Lamongan, Nganjuk, and Trenggalek). The key partners are divided into three categories, namely local governments, KRTPs, and local institutions/communities. The study finds that to further the empowerment impact of the PFK Program, Trenggalek is the readiest among the four districts, followed by Nganjuk, Lamongan, and Banyuwangi, to adopt Business Model Canvas (BMC). It is further argued that the application of Business Model Canvas (BMC) can contributed to an adequate description of key partners’ readiness to support the program by establishing the customer segments, value propositions, channels, revenue streams, customer relationships, key resources, and managing the cost structure that accelerate the role of key partners in moving towards social entrepreneurship.
