The In-In2S3 System1

Abstract: The In-In2S3 System 1441 out that the determination of kt is not very accurate and that the precision on the value of log kr is probably of the order of ±0.01. Furthermore, the same value of Dawas used in the calculations of kr at different ionic strengths, whereas Daactually decreases with increasing ionic strength.Measurements at ionic strengths lower than 0.01 were not carried out because it would have been necessary to decrease the concentrations of the buffer mixtures and pyruvic acid to values at which t… Show more

“…13 The sulfide can also be synthesized by heating In 2 O 3 in H 2 S at high temperature, 14 by thermal decomposition of butylindium thiolates at about 300°C, 5 and by metathesis reaction of InCl 3 and Li 2 S at 500°C. 15 A number of solution-based preparation methods of indium sulfide have also been reported such as aqueous precipitation of poorly crystallized or amorphous In 2 S 3 from InCl 3 solution with H 2 S, 16 (NH 4 ) 2 S, 10 and NaHS, 17 laser-induced synthesis in sodium polysulfide aqueous solution, 18 precipitation of ultrafine In 2 S 3 colloidal particles by adding Na 2 S aqueous solution to InCl 3 solution under red light in the presence of polymer stabilizer, 19 injecting H 2 S into In(ClO 4 ) 3 solution, 20 or preparation of small In 2 S 3 colloidal particles in reverse micelles. 21 Hydrothermal methods have been widely applied for the synthesis of a variety of materials.…”

“…Wet chemical methods have also been utilized to prepare indium sulfide, including direct precipitation from an aqueous solution of InCl 3 with H 2 S, (NH 4 ) 2 S, or NaHS [13][14][15][16]. Besides these methods, In 2 S 3 nanoparticles have been synthesized through a sonochemical method, a hydrothermal method, and a double-source precursor approach, etc.…”

“…The compound In 2 S 3 , existing in the In-S system [1,2], is of wide research interest because it has considerable potential for use in optoelectronic devices, in particular, in the fabrication of high-efficiency thin-film solar cells based on Cu(In,Ga)(S,Se) 2 semiconductors [3][4][5][6]. CdS has long been a basic material for buffer layers in (glass/Mo/Cu (In,Ga)(S,Se) 2 /CdS/ZnO ) photoconverters [7][8][9][10].…”
