The Importance of Surface Coverage in the Electrochemical Study of Chemically Modified Electrodes

Abstract: The importance of the surface coverage in the behavior of chemically modified electrodes and its effect on different electrochemical parameters such as the peak potential separation ΔEp, the potential of full width at half peak height Efwhm and the apparent electrochemical rate constant k°, is discussed. The influence of the morphology of the surface of the electrode on the value of surface coverage is also demonstrated.
