The present research aimed to evaluate teachers’ attitudes toward the use of the Mentimeter platform in synchronous education. This study also sought to delve into teachers’ perspectives on the role of the Mentimeter platform in improving students’ engagement in online synchronous classes. To that end, the study was carried out in Palestine in response to the ongoing shift to synchronous online teaching to raise teachers’ consciousness about the importance of using online tools to boost students’ engagement and make them feel connected in synchronous classes. A quantitative approach was used to collect data, and 44 Palestinian teachers from various educational institutions completed closed-ended questionnaires. The study’s outcomes demonstrated that teachers had positive attitudes toward employing the Mentimeter platform in synchronous education. The results also indicated that almost all educators perceived that the Mentimeter platform serves a vital role in increasing student engagement in online synchronous sessions. Teachers asserted that Mentimeter presentation styles decrease the probability of boredom among students, which in turn encourages them to actively participate in online synchronous classes. Enhancing students’ engagement in online synchronous classes was still a main challenge for educators. Therefore, to increase students’ involvement in synchronous learning environments, it is necessary to regularly train the teaching staff of schools, learning institutions, and colleges in the use of Mentimeter. Future studies in Palestine and other countries are also recommended to simultaneously concentrate on teachers’ and students’ viewpoints.

Participants in the Basic Training for Candidates for Civil Servants at BPSDM Riau Province are millennials, attached to technology, digital learning applications, and provide satisfaction to them, in this case using Mentimeter as a learning application. In a quasi-experimental way, this study describes the perception of the participant's satisfaction scale on the use of Mentimeter as a learning application for the Millennial Generation Civil Servant Latsar Class E Class E, Kampar Regency at BPSDM Riau Province. Satisfaction scale is measured through tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. This finding proves that as a millennial generation learning application, the satisfaction of CPNS Latsar participants with the use of Mentimeter is at the "Very Satisfactory" level because the mean value of satisfaction in each dimension is on a scale of 4.30 - 5.00. The use of a Mentimeter is also appropriate because it can answer the challenges and developments of the times that are attached to information and digital technology. Utilizing Mentimeter implies that it is important for education and training providers, especially BPSDM Riau Province to always maintain satisfaction and improve learning service innovation according to the needs of millennial generation CPNS Latsar participants. The next recommendation is very possible to evaluate digital learning so that the Mentimeter application can be effectively used by various groups of learners.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris mahasiwa dan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terkait pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris melalui mentimeter platform. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan berfokus kepada peningkatan kemampuan peserta didik di berbagai skills bahasa Inggris. Kualitatif deskriptif merupakan metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam menentukan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dari mahasiswa di semester 2 dan 4. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup kuesioner dan interview. Hasil penelitian melalui kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris peserta didik dalam bidang speaking), pengucapan (pronunciation), kosa kata (vocabulary), tata bahasa (grammar), menulis (writing), dan kemampuan mendengarkan (listening) sedangkan hasil dari wawancara mendeskripsikan bahwa peserta didik memiliki peningkatan dalam bidang komunikasi dan penguasaan kosakata namun mereka merasa perlu untuk terus diberikan pelatihan dan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris menggunakan mentimeter platform. Kata Kunci: Mentimeter Platform, Kemampuan Bahasa Inggris, Era Digital Abstract The aim of this study was to determine the ability of students' English education and to determine students' perceptions regarding the process of learning English through mentimeter platform. This research was conducted by focusing on the ability of students improvement in various English skills. In implementing the research, the writer conducted the qualitative descriptive method and took the purposive sampling to determine the sample taken from students at the 2nd and the 4th semester. The instruments used in this study include questionnaires and interviews. The results of the research through the questionnaire showed that there was an increase in students' English skills performance, they are speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, writing, and listening. The result of the interview described that students have improved in the field of communication and vocabulary mastery, but their need of the specific English training must be fulfilled.
