The impacts of economic growth, trade openness and technological progress on renewable energy use in organization for economic co-operation and development countries

Abstract: This study investigates the short-term and long-term impacts of economic growth, trade openness and technological progress on renewable energy use in Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries. Based on a panel data set of 25 OECD countries for 43 years, we used the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) approach and the related intermediate estimators, including pooled mean group (PMG), mean group (MG) and dynamic fixed effect (DFE) to achieve the objective. The estimated ARDL mode… Show more

“…Besides, regulation for using genetically and metabolically modified bacteria is released to evaluate the possible risks (Khudur et al, 2019). The risk assessment is mainly done by regulatory agencies, i.e., Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) at the application level for environmental safety (Russo et al, 2019;Alam and Murad, 2020;Pastor-Jáuregui et al, 2020). The possible risks are gene contamination in the native member of microbial consortium, leading to mislaying of the natural trait (Mills et al, 2019;Pineda et al, 2019;Rycroft et al, 2019).…”

“…Developing countries focus on the achievement of LTC without focusing on the subsequent effects on the environment and other factors (Susilowati, Fuddin, Pramuja, Anindyntha, & Primitasari, 2019). Some organizations are able to consume innovative technology and tools by having greater access to long-term loans, which could also result in higher returns (Alam & Murad, 2020). Badayi, Matemilola, Bany-Ariffin, and Theng (2020).…”
