“…Thus, the purpose of the present study is to examine a model of relationships between factors likely to influence academic attitudes. Researchers previously have assessed relationships between academic attitudes and other variables such as personality (e.g., Aluja‐Fabregat, Balleste‐Almacellas, & Torrubia‐Beltri, ), personal values (e.g., Alas, ), motivation (e.g., Gard, Lindstrom, & Dallner, ), and readiness to change (e.g., Grant & Franklin, ).
