Education is said to be the “great equalizer of the conditions of men”. The aim of this paper is to examine the relationship between participation rate in education and training and people at risk of poverty and social exclusion. The source of data, used in the research, is Eurostat. The data represents the 25-64-year-old age group. The analyzed period is 2016-2020. It represents both genders in 34 European countries. Some countries were excluded from the analysis due to the lack of data for some years within the analyzed period. For each variable measures of descriptive statistics (measures of central tendency, measures of variability and measures of asymmetry) were calculated. Then the Pearson correlation of coefficient and coefficient of determination were computed. To assess the significance of the correlation of coefficient, hypothesis testing was performed. The procedure was performed using rejection region method and two-tailed p-vale method. Although, in 2016 and 2017, a strong linear correlation was detected between the participation rate in education and training and people at risk of poverty or social exclusion, its significance is gradually decreasing. Despite this, it should be emphasized that children born in poverty or in socially excluded families have a lower chance of succeeding in education and thus escape from the vicious circle of poverty. Thus, education should still be perceived as an important factor, and the main ‘tool’ to fight against poverty.

This study examines the mediation effect of the vocational training on the relationship between foreign aid and poverty reduction strategy in the republic of Chad. The number of the sample involved in this study was 335 as given from Krejcie and Morgan's. Thus, the researcher used both random and nonrandom sampling. First, community leaders and members of independent associations were grouped according to the level that they are serving. Then the sample was selected respectively and used purposive sampling method for the convenience in getting the response from the study respondents. Purposive sampling technique was used as the researcher obtained data from specific group in particular districts. Therefore, a structured questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale was used as the instrument for data collection. The Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the hypotheses of this study. The results found that poverty reduction highly influences by foreign aid and vocational training. To this fact, it is highly recommended that the government of Chad to focus on vocational training; for instance, the government can mainly create a training programs on how to successfully execute national development plans in particular (poverty reduction strategy). Also, foreign aid plays an important role in fighting poverty in Chad, thus more effort need to be made on the management of the aid coming to the country.

This study has been conducted to explore the role of the Technical & Vocational Education regarding the poverty reduction in Reduction. This was a qualitative follow-up study conducted to validate the results of a quantitative study that was conducted to investigate the effect of Technical & Vocational Education on Poverty Reduction. There were 16 graduates of Technical & Vocational Education who have been selected purposively for this study. They were selected from four Technical & Vocational institutes based in Punjab and were the graduates of 3-years DAE in Electrical & Mechanical programs and the graduates of 1-year Machinist and Computer Certification. A semi-structured interview protocol has been developed to know the graduates' perspectives regarding poverty reduction. It comprised nine questions including one introductory question and one closing question. This instrument for the qualitative data collection also have been validated through the experts' opinion. The collected data have been analyzed with the help of Thematic analysis. The qualitative results also showed that the participants reported the positive role of Technical and Vocational Education in Poverty reduction. Similarly, Technical and Vocational Education was reported to help fulfill the industry's needs.
