“…Among the few serious attempts, the recent survey of Papacharalampous et al (2019) maps CSR actions amid the domestic socioeconomic crisis, from both a thematic content and strategic orientation perspective, by using a critical view of CSR disclosures of 50 Greek firms. A look at the findings of two additional studies (Sahinidis & Kavoura, 2014; Skouloudis et al, 2014) suggests that Greek firms tend to treat CSR superficially; as an optional tool of promotion based on marketing and public relations directions.
