Mathematical thinking and reasoning are at the core of mathematics learning, strategies to facilitate their development are global issues for various countries. This qualitative study aims to describe the fifth-grade elementary school teacher’s stimulus form, to expand students’ thinking ability in mathematics learning and obtain a stimulus formulation of the fifth-grade elementary school teacher in developing students’ mathematical thinking ability. Data were obtained by using open-ended questionnaire methods and passive participation observation. The study results showed that the stimulus form of the fifth-grade elementary school teacher in expanding students’ thinking skill in learning the mathematics comprises problem posing, asking guiding questions, facilitating technology (learning videos/PowerPoint/Plickers), and song. The recommendation of fifth-grade elementary school teacher stimulus for developing students’ mathematical thinking ability was asking the probing question, playing, and games. Furthermore, the results of the second year’s research were widely disseminated to teachers. Primary school teachers who are part of the teacher working group also need to improve their professionalism, especially concerning developing stimulus thinking and applying it in learning. Therefore, the follow-up as the management of learning in the form of INNOMATTS training.

Despite the fact that English songs with written lyrics are already familiar in Malaysia, however only a few that recognizes the potential use of the material in teaching vocabulary especially among Malaysian English teachers. The researcher finds it necessary to understand the perception towards the idea of using English songs with written lyrics in teaching vocabulary especially in Malaysian context. This quantitative research aims to identify the MSU TESL practicum students’ perception towards the idea of using English songs with written lyrics in teaching vocabulary and to find out if there is any difference according to gender and program (DTESL/BTESL) in the practicum students’ perception. A total of 164 TESL practicum students are used as the sample in this research where an online questionnaire is distributed to collect data. The results reveal that the practicum students exhibit a positive perception towards the idea of using English songs with written lyrics in teaching vocabulary. No significant difference in perception is found regardless the gender and programs. The findings are hopefully to give significant to the English teachers and the English Language Teaching curriculum developer. Further recommendation is given for a better understanding of the perception.

The purpose of this study is to find out the improvement of mathematical learning outcomes through mnemonic techniques. This research includes class action research (CAR) which lasts for two cycles. Students class VIIA MTs Muhammadiyah Syuhada Kota Makassar is the subject of this research. Tests of learning outcomes and observation guidelines are instruments used in this study. Descriptive analysis is a data analysis technique used in this study. Descriptive analysis results show an increase of 1.45, with the average value outcome of learning mathematics after application of mnemonic techniques in cycle I is 74.55 and in cycle II is 76. The completion of learning outcomes also increased by 10.70%, the completion in cycle I by 71.40% and in cycle II by 82.10%. It can be concluded that mnemonic techniques are able to improve students' memory in learning so that the material that has been obtained before is not easily forgotten.
