A recent study focused on mental health showed that Black anglophones in Quebec experienced more discrimination, lower mental health and reported more barriers to mental healthcare than Black francophones (Nweze et al, 2023). In their 2021 commentary, Dryden and Nnorom assert that examples of anti-Black racism in the Canadian health system are plentiful and that the situation is exacerbated by the fact that the proportion of Black physicians in the system is much lower than the proportion of Blacks in the general population (Dryden & Nnorom, 2021).…”
