Poverty in Somalia is deeply rooted due to prolonged civil conflict, political instability, and environmental adversities. With approximately 70% of the population living in poverty, Somalia ranks sixth in Sub-Saharan Africa for poverty prevalence. The combination of widespread and severe poverty poses significant challenges to socioeconomic and economic progress unless appropriate policies are implemented. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence the sustainability of poverty alleviation in Somalia. In this paper, we examined the impact of four sustainability goals, namely, SDG 2 (no hunger), SDG 4 (quality education), SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth), and SDG 17(social protection) in relation to poverty alleviation in Somalia. A judgemental survey using 130 respondents was conducted using face-to-face (42%) and online (58%) techniques. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data and estimate the model parameters. The results found that SDG 2, SDG 4, SDG 8, and SDG 17 are all factors that contribute to poverty reduction in Somalia. Based on these findings, the study suggests that the government and policymakers should invest in sustainable agricultural practices (SDG 2) that not only ensure food security but also create job opportunities and income sources for impoverished communities. The government should also allocate resources to prioritize quality education (SDG 4) to equip individuals with the necessary skills for decent work and economic growth (SDG 8). Finally, the government should focus on social protection (SDG 17) in rural and urban areas, thereby reducing unemployment and providing pathways out of poverty, focusing on various dimensions of social protection interventions.

The percentage of the quantity of the poor population in Central Java for the 2017-2021 period tends to still fluctuate even though there has been a low increase. Even though the quantity of the poor population in Central Java province decreased by 0.21 percent, Central Java is the region that experienced the smallest reduction in the quantity of the poor population when compared to West Java province, which decreased by 0.34 percent and East Java, which decreased by 1.02 percent. percent. This research explores the influence of education and consumption levels on the quantity of poor people in Central Java with the total population covering all data in Central Java from 2017 -2021. The saturated sampling technique was applied as a data collection process that investigated the entire population of 35 districts and cities in Central Java. The data taken is secondary data sourced from published data from the Central Java Central Statistics Agency by applying documentary methods and panel data regression as data analysis techniques. Proving the data test using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) as a preference which is then followed by classical assumption testing as well as statistical criteria testing using the help of Eviews version 12 software. Based on the results of this study, the findings are that: 1) The level of education has an insignificant positive effect on quantity poor people in Central Java; 2) Consumption has a significant negative effect on the quantity of poor people in Central Java.Persentase kuantitas penduduk miskin di Jawa Tengah periode 2017-2021 cenderung masih fluktuatif meskipun mengalami peningkatan yang rendah. Meskipun kuantitas penduduk miskin di provinsi Jawa Tengah menurun sebesar 0,21 persen, Jawa Tengah merupakan wilayah yang mengalami penurunan kuantitas penduduk miskin terkecil jika dibandingkan dengan provinsi Jawa Barat yang mengalami penurunan sebesar 0,34 persen dan Jawa Timur yang mengalami penurunan sebesar 1,02 persen. persen. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengaruh tingkat pendidikan dan konsumsi terhadap kuantitas penduduk miskin di Jawa Tengah dengan total populasi mencakup seluruh data di Jawa Tengah dari tahun 2017 -2021. Teknik sampling jenuh diterapkan sebagai proses pengumpulan data yang menyelidiki seluruh penduduk dari 35 kabupaten dan kota di Jawa Tengah. Data yang diambil merupakan data sekunder yang bersumber dari data yang dipublikasikan dari Badan Pusat Statistik Jawa Tengah dengan menerapkan metode dokumenter dan regresi data panel sebagai teknik analisis data. Membuktikan uji data menggunakan Fixed Effect Model (FEM) sebagai preferensi yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pengujian asumsi klasik serta pengujian kriteria statistik menggunakan bantuan software Eviews versi 12. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, temuannya adalah: 1) Tingkat pendidikan berpengaruh positif yang tidak signifikan terhadap kuantitas penduduk miskin di Jawa Tengah; 2) Konsumsi memiliki efek negatif yang signifikan terhadap kuantitas penduduk miskin di Jawa Tengah.

Aim: This paper attempts to diagnose the economic situation of households in the Subcarpathian Voivodeshipin the years 2014–2022, and to determine the importance of education as a differentiating factor. Methods:For this purpose, an analysis was conducted of the results of questionnaire studies conducted in five consecutiveperiods, which rendered it possible to compare the situation over time. The data are sufficient to presenta general account of the economic situation, as well as its 8 different aspects. Variance analysis allowed forthe statistical verification of the significance of education from the perspective of the economic situation ofhouseholds. Results: The results obtained indicate that better education improves the economic situation ofa household, although the differences disappear with general economic change. The research indicates thatthe least educated are exposed to the most socioeconomic risk, which manifests in difficulties in meeting theirmost basic subsistence needs. Simultaneously, the economic situation of those with the highest human capitalis the most stable, which proves that higher education is a factor that improves the resilience of one’s livingstandards to external disruption. Conclusions: Generally, it is possible to conclude that education remainsa factor in strengthening households’ economic security. The research is original in that it fills an empiricalgap related to verifying the existence of differences in material living standards due to educational attainmentby way of using dynamic comparisons to diagnose the situation in a peripheral region of Poland.
