The Impact of Different Water Regime on Chlorophyll Fluorescence of Pyrus pyraster L. and Sorbus domestica L.

Abstract: The water defi cit is considered to be signifi cant cause of photosynthesis defects. Measuring of chlorophyll fl uorescence is one of the methods revealing defects in the photosynthetic apparatus. The experiment was established with two woody plant (Pyrus pyraster L. and Sorbus domestica L.) cultivated in two diff erent regimes of the substrate saturation. The measurement of the modulated fl uorescence of chlorophyll a was done by FMS1 fl uorometer during three-week period between June and September (2012 and … Show more

“…ΦPSII represents the fraction of the light energy used in photochemistry (Genty et al, 1989;Schreiber, 2004). The decrease of photosynthetic assimilation can be well detected by a decrease of ΦPSII, as it was documented also in woody plants (Peguero-Pina et al, 2008, Gallé et al, 2007, Šajbidorová et al 2015.…”

“…One of the prominent techniques for attaining comprehensive estimates of photosynthetic activities is chlorophyll fluorescence. Chlorophyll fluorescence is an important and fast technique for the examination of photosyntheic activities (Sajbidorova et al, 2015). Plant biochemistry and function of PSII are affected by different abiotic stresses (Yang, 2013).…”
