Abstract: Background: Clinical studies on the impact of dexmedetomidine on tourniquet-induced systemic effects have been inconsistent. We investigated the impact of dexmedetomidine on tourniquet-induced systemic effects including pain outcomes in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty under spinal anesthesia.
