One of the strategies of healthcare service providers to deal with current challenges is outsourcing some operations. The key stakeholders of healthcare sectors are government, patients, healthcare sector staff, suppliers, and outsourcing firms. The Healthcare service providers and governments are found in favor of outsourcing, but on the other hand, the three groups of stakeholders are showing varying degrees of dissatisfaction with outsourcing options. The lack of enough alignment among the interests of various stakeholder groups is reducing the chances of success of outsourcing practices in Dubai’s healthcare sector. The research objective is to analyze the types, benefits, and challenges of outsourcing in Dubai’s healthcare sector, in order to propose an effective outsourcing model. The Mixed method approach was used to explore the conceptual framework and to propose hypotheses. The data was collected through questionnaires and interviews. The survey data was collected from 252 respondents. Three semi-structured interviews were conducted with senior leadership of the hospital, an official in the Ministry of Health, and a patient with longer treatment history. The study proposes that the business arrangements with outsourcing companies should be carefully finalized so that the interests of key stakeholders are addressed. The role of leadership is important in protecting the stakeholders’ interests. Hospital management can influence the three stages, first when pre-qualifications of outsourcing firms are undertaken, second when the contract is written, and third at the stage of final decision grating contract to the shortlisted firms. The stakeholder analysis process must be completed before taking the outsourcing firm on board.

Nowadays customers become more concerned about private health services, as performance, innovation and creativity overspread into our lives. Digital health services development in Romania has grown gradually through the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment as RMN Siemens Magnetom Essenza machine, CT Optima 520 available in Romanian health private clinics. Is the e-health the future of health services in Romania? The answer will be a strong yes. Immunotherapy has revolutionized cancer treatment by leveraging the immune system to fight tumors. The hope is that someday immunotherapy options will exist for all types of tumors. On the other hand, 3-D printing allows the user to create health products specific to the patient, including prosthetics, implants, and airway stents. More than that, Virtual reality/mixed reality applications have become popular in Romanian medical education. Robotic approaches to surgery are less invasive and faster, and are often associated with improved clinical outcomes, such as decreased recovery time and reduced pain. For example, the da Vinci Surgical System translates the surgeon’s hand movements to smaller movements made by the robot inside the body, all visualized via laparoscopy. The da Vinci System has been used on more than 3 million patients globally. The present paper researched the Romanian customers’ satisfactions regarding private health services. The sample size was 400 people, of which 168 males and 232 females, with an average age of 40 years old, all from the urban area, developed standard of living with an average income of 1,500 euro per month. The results have shown that Romanian customers are willing to pay for private health services more than 500 euro per year. Romanian customers had declared in proportion of 68% that are satisfied with the prices of private healthcare networks, in proportion of 79% that are satisfied with the medical services offered by the private healthcare networks. In what it concerns the surgery performed by robots instead of doctors, only 45% customers had declared in the robots favor. Further insights will be discussed in the research paper and concussions will be drawn reflecting the assessment of the Romanian customers’ satisfaction regarding private health services.

Araştırmanın amacı, hastanelerde Bilgisayarlı Tomografi (BT) görüntüleme hizmetlerinin COVID-19 salgınıyla birlikte nasıl evrim geçirdiğini belirleyerek, hastanelerin bu hizmeti kendi kaynaklarıyla mı yoksa Dış Kaynak Kullanımı (DKK) yoluyla mı sağlanmasını maliyet-karlılık analizi yaparak değerlendirmektir. Çalışmanın verileri, doküman analizi yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini Türkiye'deki bir üniversite hastanesi oluştururken, örneklem ise radyoloji klinik hizmetlerindenki BT hizmetlerinden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada hastane tarafından sağlanan BT hizmetleri ile (DKK) yoluyla sunulan hizmetlerin 2019-2020 yıllarındaki gelir ve giderleri incelenerek karlılık analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. BT hizmeti için yapılan maliyet karlılık analizinde, 2019 yılında DKK yöntemiyle %37 oranında 462.329,39 TL faaliyet karı, 2020 yılında %48 oranında toplam 492.715,52 TL faaliyet karı elde edilmiştir. Hastanenin kendi BT cihazıyla 2019 yılında %240 oranında 241.066,26 TL faaliyet zararı, 2020 yılında %30 oranında ve 74.497,57 TL faaliyet zararı tespit edilmiştir. Ancak 2020 yılından itibaren COVID-19 salgını sebebiyle hastanenin kendi BT cihazı çekim sayıları %179 oranında artmıştır. Buna bağlı olarak 2020 yılı için BT hizmetinden elde edilen gelir artarken maliyetlerin belli oradan sabit kalması zararı ciddi oranda düşürmüştür. Çalışmanın genelinde BT hizmetini hastanenin kendi imkânlarından ziyade DKK’ya başvurması karlılık açısından tercih edilmesi sonucuna varılmış olmasına rağmen COVID-19 gibi beklenmedik durumlarda hastanenin kendi imkanlarıyla sunduğu hizmetin zarar bile edilse önemli ve gerekli olabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
