Since long ago, international scholars have predicted that China will rise as one of the great powers in the international political economy. Based on China's potential to rise as the world’s number two power, this paper will discuss the forms of China's potential threats through economic and military means that can threaten the security of the Asia Pacific region. The main objective of this study is to examine the factors behind China's rise as a new power in the world economy and to identify the potential threat of China's military to the security of the Asia Pacific region. This study uses the concept of human security and security dilemma. The results of the study show that China has indeed succeeded in becoming a major power in the world economy after joining the WTO. However, the development of the international political economy today, shows that China has not fully challenged the existing international order through its military. China is seen to have worked hard to establish cooperation based on the spirit of the neighborhood and sustainable economic relations with countries in the Asia Pacific region and the United States.

This study describes the export development, product innovation, and sustainability of Peruvian export companies toward the United States market, using a descriptive and quantitative methodology based on data from customs declarations submitted by companies trading with the United States, recorded on the Peruvian customs web portal over 20 years. A 1.03% annual growth in Peruvian exports to the United States was observed, with greater diversification of exported products, reflected in a 13% increase in tariff subheadings. Business sustainability demonstrated strength, with a 26.7% increase in exporting companies despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Recommendations include strengthening trade ties, investing in production diversification, and supporting export companies. Strategies such as analysis of US market demand, constant product innovation, and adoption of sustainable business practices are proposed.

Most countries satisfy domestic food consumption by importing from foreign supplies, thus highlighting the role of agricultural exports in maintaining and diversifying the global food supply. In the age of globalisation, whether the flourishing number of regional trade agreements (RTAs) has been facilitating greater market access of agricultural and food products is questioned by national governments. Meanwhile, logistics performance has been the bottleneck of emerging economies, which exerts negative impacts on agricultural export competitiveness in foreign markets. Overall, the interlink between globalisation, logistics and food supply has not been addressed adequately. Therefore, this paper employs the trade gravity model to examine the relationship between agricultural exports, RTAs membership, and logistics performance in the case of Vietnam and her 97 major trading partners. Static and dynamic panel data estimation are employed with the methods applied to solving the zero trade and endogeneity concerns. Findings confirm the interlink between globalisation, logistics and food supply. RTAs-based globalisation and logistics policies are intertwined to secure and diversify import-driven food supply. The unified framework for long-term and sustainable development which aims at strengthening the interlink between globalisation, logistics, agriculture and global food supply should be considered in policy formulation.
