The impact of alkaline earth oxides on Bi2O3 and their catalytic activities in photodegradation of Bisphenol A

Abstract: The BPA into wastewater has posed a threat to environment and human health. Hence, we aimed to eliminate BPA in a short time and with a rapid degradation rate from food wastewater. Herein, the effects of different alkaline-earth oxide doped with Bi 2 O 3 nanoparticles on the photocatalytic degradation of bisphenol A were investigated. SrO-2 O 3 , CaO-Bi 2 O 3 and MgO-Bi 2 O 3 binary oxides were prepared by wet-impregnation method. The structural and optical features of catalysts were clarified BET, XRD, DRS, F… Show more

“…The obtained powder was dried in an oven at 80 °C for 2.0 h and calcined at 450 °C for two hours. 33 The other percentages by weight (0, 5, and 10%) were prepared similarly. The as-fabricated Bi 2 O 3 doped MgO nanoparticles with different proportions of Bi 2 O 3 (0, 2.5, 5, and 10%) were symbolized as MgOBi0, MgOBi1, MgOBi2, and MgOBi3, respectively.…”
