“…For the present study most significant are that the morphologies of PNe are well resolved (e.g., Balick 1987;Chu et al 1987;Corradi & Schwarz 1995;Manchado et al 1996;Sahai & Trauger 1998;Parker et al 2006Parker et al , 2016 and share many properties with many other objects, and that the jets are launched mainly by a stellar companion that accretes mass from the giant progenitor. The bipolar morphologies are related to the study of cooling flows and galaxy formation, and the binary interaction is relevant mainly to the CEE, the GEE, and possibly to YSOs and ILOTs.…”

“…As for K 4-55, the slit PA was selected at 0 • , covering the relatively bright central ring (R) and the pole- on bipolar lobes (L) at the position where they intersect (Guerrero, Manchado, & Serra-Ricart 1996). M 1-75 has a quadrupolar morphology (Manchado, Stanghellini, & Guerrero 1996;Santander-García et al 2010), with two pairs of bipolar lobes aligned along PA 10 • and -30 • , i.e. their main axis orientations differ by ∼40 • .…”

“…For some cases, an intermittent magnetic field is reported indicating a non uniform surface distribution of the magnetic regions or an intrinsically-variable field. Regarding the subsequent evolutionary phases, it is well established now that the majority of PAGB stars and PNe display non-spherical geometries (Manchado et al 1997;Sahai et al 2011;Parker et al 2014) or nebulae. Thus, there are now several evidences suggesting an active role of the magnetic field in the circumstellar environment.…”
