The Hierarchy of Values in the Contemporary Science

Abstract: The author follows the philosophical conception of the contemporary science that presents it as "post-non-classical"-as an emerging paradigm of dialectical comprehension of scientific knowledge that resolves the contradiction between classical monism and non-classical plurality by enabling the approach to considering the reality as unity in plurality. In the light of that conception, scientific values and goals constitute an elaborate hierarchical system, its highest level being presented by the ideal as the e… Show more

“…A soft extreme VST on the complexity continuum is the humanist paradigm, which arose because of a values crisis that occurred in science where the positivist stances had been unable to explain all aspects of observed reality (Mielkov, 2016). The rise of the humanist paradigm facilitated discussion about such attributes as: values associated with observed objective reality; the fullness of sense comprehension of the world through personality; and discussions concerning the interrelation between subject and object, this being expressed in terms of more concrete and augmented phenomena (Mielkov, 2013).…”
