“…For instance, PS nanoplastics with small size can rapidly form heteroaggregates with organic matter and Ca 2+ (Song et al 2019). Functional groups like -NH 2 or -COOH enhance heteroaggregation between PS nanoplastics and ferrihydrite, which is further affected by the pH and ionic strength levels (Wu et al 2023).
