The hardware platform design for DRFM system

Abstract: The hardware platform design for Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) is the analogue-digital combined circuit with high speed data transfer speed, and the design quantities of the hardware platform significantly affect the overall performance of the whole system. The hardware requirement for general purpose DRFM system is analyzed and the hardware architecture based on FPGA and DSP techniques is proposed. The general principle for high-performance hardware design is withdrawn based on the engineering impleme… Show more

“…Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) jammers have existed for several decades now, evolving from simple mono-bit devices to modern wideband, high dynamic range systems, with fully coherent receivers and transmitters [1]. Despite this, no published research has been conducted to understand the fundamental relationship of a DRFM system: the interaction between the deceptive waveform it generates and the radar receiver [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]. Understanding of the DRFM-radar interaction is fundamental to Electronic Attack (EA) design, allowing for the proper jammer waveform parameters (power, frequency, technique, etc.)…”
