This article reports on the findings of a photography and literacy project the authors conducted with 117 diverse city students. Relying on a critical pedagogy framework, the foundations for this study include research on cultural relevance, literacy, and visual sociology. The authors used Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) and photo elicitation methods to allow young adults to document their impressions of the purposes of, supports for, and impediments to school. Through a multi-stage process of analyzing these pictures and writings, the authors discovered insights about what youth believe are literacy pedagogies that are relevant to their cultures and help them to achieve in school.

Straipsnyje pateikiama logotipo apibrėžtis, aprašomi logotipo atsiradimas, istorija ir reikšmė. Plačiąja prasme logotipas yra originalus parašymas, visuma vaizdinių elementų ir įrašų. Žodis logotipas yra kilęs iš graikiškų žodžių "logos" -žodis ir "typos" -atspaudas. Logotipas skiriasi nuo žymos ("Ex libris") ar prekės ženklo. Tinkamai sukurtam logotipui būdingi tam tikri požymiai: paprastumas; turi sudominti tikslinę auditoriją; ilgaamžiškumas; pageidautinas vektorinis logotipo formatas; lengvai įsimenamas; turi pasižymėti originalia idėja ir formomis. Gerai apgalvotas ir sukurtas logotipas tampa firminio stiliaus pagrindu. Pats svarbiausias dalykas yra tai, kad logotipas atspindėtų kompanijos ar įstaigos veiklą. Norint įgyvendinti meninius ir kūrybinius logotipo sumanymus, reikia tinkamai taikyti kompiuterinės grafikos technologijas ir programinę įrangą. Straipsnyje aptariamos kompiuterinių technologijų ir kūrybinių logotipo idėjų įgyvendinimo galimybės ir rezultatai.Reikšminiai žodžiai: logotipas, prekės ženklas, logotipo kūrimo įrankiai, kompiuterinės grafikos įrankiai logotipui kurti, vizualinė komunikacija. ĮvadasVizualusis pasaulis yra aukštai organizuotas ir jo dėsningumai nėra griežtai nustatyti, todėl pasitaiko vienokių ar kitokių klaidų. Bet kūrybiškas vizualinės informacijos panaudojimas gali duoti gerų rezultatų. Ypač reklamai, kurios funkcija yra atkreipti stebėtojo dėmesį, supažindinti su naujovėmis vienoje ar kitoje sferoje, tarpininkauti sudarant sutartis ir sandorius. Logotipas gana glaudžiai susijęs su reklama ir dažniausiai naudojamas masinėje komunikacijoje, nes ji apima didelę žmonių auditoriją. Taigi toliau bus kalbama apie logotipo kūrimą, kuris identifikuoja įmonės vardą, jos turinį ir atlieka įmonės reklamos funkciją.Mūsų regimasis pasaulio suvokimas ir reiškia vizualinę komunikaciją. Vizualinės komunikacijos sąvoka -tai specialių nurodymų ir nuorodų, tokių kaip iškabos, informaciniai stendai, reklaminiai skydai, kompleksas. Jie padeda mums orientuotis erdvėje jose pateiktos informacijos dėka. Vizualinės komunikacijos sudedamosios dalys -vizualinė kalba, (atvaizdai, ženklai, įvaizdžiai) ir vizualinis suvokimas (regėjimo organai, suvokimo psichologija). This paper discusses a method of collecting and analysing multimodal data during classroom-based digital literacy research. Drawing on reflections from two studies, the authors discuss theoretical and methodological implications encountered in the collection, transcription and presentation of such data. Following an ethnomethodological framework that co-develops theory and methodology, the studies capture digital literacy activities as real-time screen recordings, with embedded video recordings of participants' movements and vocalisations around the tasks during writing. The result is a multimodal rendition of digital literacy events on-and off-screen, allowing linguistic and multimodal transcriptions to capture the complexity of the data in a format amenable to analysis. Acquiring such data allowed for the development of detailed analyses of digital literacy events in the classroom, including interaction that would otherwise have escaped standard ethnography and video analysis, through sensibilities that approach social and material items without a priori hierarchies. This leads us to a 'performative' notion of digital literacies and an analytic methodology that is useful for researchers paying greater attention to the sociomaterial assemblages in which digital literacy events unfold.
