The GPS application for the control of the rail vehicle

Abstract: The paper deals with the control methods for routing optimization of bogie in rail track (i.e. rail channel) with the usage of GPS. Consequently the GPS information is used for determining of position and the curve radius track. These parameters are necessary for the tested control methods. For this research stage the experimental rail vehicle powered by the traction battery is also utilized. This vehicle has one bogie with independent rotating wheels driven by PMSM drives. At the present the testing control m… Show more

“…Vibration research in rail transport is most often related to the phenomenon of wheel-rail contact or impact on buildings in the vicinity of the tracks [ 20 , 21 , 22 , 23 ]. On the other hand, a very frequently studied problem in rail transport is the control and management of vehicle traffic [ 24 , 25 , 26 , 27 ]. Thus, vibroacoustic methods should be considered as a support for monitoring systems in the field of transportation due to their usefulness in evaluating human exposure and monitoring the technical state of the transport system.…”
