The Geometry of Emotions: Using Chakra Acupuncture and 5-Phase Theory to Describe Personality Archetypes for Clinical Use

Abstract: The 5-Phase theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine has been an integral part of medical acupuncture for 2000 years. The research of John R. Cross PhD, PhDAc, has resulted in a further evolution of the 5-Phase theory to include the Ayurvedic chakra energy centers. As there are seven chakras and five elements, the seventh chakra is ruled by the first (Wood or Liver), and the sixth chakra is ruled by the second (Water or Kidney).…”

“…[4][5][6][7][8] In the article published by Christopher R. Chase, entitled The Geometry of Emotions: Using Chakra Acupuncture and 5-Phase Theory to Describe Personality Archetypes for Clinical Use, the author states that there is a correlation between the five emotions (fear, anger, joy, pensive thought, and grief) and the five elements (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal) in traditional Chinese medicine and the treatment done in the chakras' energies meridians in Ayurvedic medicine. 9 In patients with gastritis, the most important chakra suffering from a deficiency is the fifth chakra. However, the author demonstrated in a study performed in her clinic in Brazil, which she measured through radiesthesia procedure the amount of energy found in a thousand patients in 2015 to 2020 period.…”
