Abstract:In general, the geometric planning of roads is done manually using drawing tools and mathematical techniques. When done manually, geometric design is complicated, time-consuming, and prone to errors. Therefore, this study will use AutoCAD Civil 3D®. This study aims to redesign the Trans Flores road because of the frequent accidents found on curves and climbs and the current road drops on the Trans Flores road. This study will use research methods using secondary data and qualitative research methods. When desi… Show more
“…Speed Design amount on certain road sections can be reduced, with the condition that the reduction cannot br more than 20 km/hour [13]. Spiral -Circle -Spiral is a bend consisting of one circular arc and two spiral arcs or intermediate arcs [14]. To plan a even line, the primary thing that must be done is to decide the work and course of the street, which is based on the nature and volume of activity that passes through the street and the landscape conditions [15]..…”
Jarak Village, Jombang Regency in Indonesia has a conditions of the geometric structure of a narrow road with sharp turns. In addition, the village has many tourist attractions, so it often attracts tourist to vacation. Tourist arrivals will affect the economy, it is necessary to evaluate the geometric planning of road bends that have a elevation more than three percent its mean do not match the standard Highway Department of Indonesian method, therefore it is carried out using the Spiral Circle Spiral (SCS) calculation. The purpose of this research is to plan the geometric road bend using the SCS type to produce a plan on a bend with a design that meets the standard of the Highways method. The method in this research was a survey of the geometric conditions the roads. From the geometric condition data that was analysis would be carried out using the SCS type Highway Department of Indonesian method, with radius analysis on bends, and horizontal alignment visibility. The results of the research showed a transition curve (Ls). For more discuss can be describe the arc length and spiral angle will be calculated so that an road bend design is obtained.

Transportation infrastructure is one of the primary needs in increasing a country’s economic growth. In the last decade, Indonesia has continued to build toll roads to accelerate the provision of these needs. In some toll road development projects, a redesign is required as a form of field adaptation. The redesign process requires accuracy, speed, and convenience, so the development process goes according to plan. This paper discusses the implementation of using AutoCAD® Civil 3D for toll road redesign in Indonesia. The data is taken from the construction of toll roads in the Greater Jakarta-Indonesia area in 2023. The research method was carried out by comparing manual calculations and AutoCAD® Civil 3D. The study results show that some adjustments to the toll road design must be implemented faster and more precisely according to field needs. The selection of these applications makes it easier for designers to determine various options for planning the toll road. The conclusion of this paper shows that the use of AutoCAD® Civil 3D increases the efficiency and effectiveness of toll road redesign.
