Species delimitation in Boletales was based on the following criteria: 1) undelimited phylogenetic species were determined with a < 97% DNA sequence identity threshold between sibling species, 2) well-studied taxa were based on previous taxonomic and phylogenetic publications (Binder & Hibbett, 2006;Binder et al, 2010;Halling et al, 2012;Wilson et al, 2012;Nuhn et al, 2013;Halling et al, 2015;Henkel et al, 2016;Wu et al, 2016a;Wu et al, 2016b;Zeng et al, 2016;Zeng et al, 2017;Zeng et al, 2018;Chai et al, 2019;Kuo & Ortiz-Santana, 2020;Li & Yang, 2021;Magnago et al, 2022).
