“…The species investigated in the present study (A. nigricans) has a cosmopolitan distribution, predominantly in the Neotropics and Paleotropics (Lowy, 1952). There are records of its occurrence in the states of Amazonas, Amapá, Bahia, Ceará, Federal District, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Pará, Santa Catarina, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Rondônia, Roraima and Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil (Alvarenga et al, 2015).
