Abstract:We present a genome assembly from an individual female Hyperoodon ampullatus (the Northern Bottlenose Whale; Chordata; Mammalia; Artiodactyla; Ziphiidae). The genome sequence spans 2,828.70 megabases. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 21 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 16.34 kilobases in length.
