The aim of this research is to analyze the utilization and challenges of ChatGPT in Lampung Higher Education Institutions (PTKI). This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Qualitative research aims to explore the utilization and challenges of ChatGPT as a tool to enhance students' understanding at Lampung PTKI. The research sample consists of students majoring in Islamic Economics and Business, Guidance and Counseling, and English Teaching at Lampung PTKI. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The researcher utilizes a Semi-Structured interview. The findings of this research indicate that the use of ChatGPT for students can be a valuable resource in various economic and teaching contexts. It can assist students in making strategic decisions based on a deeper understanding of the sought-after data sources. However, educators should also be aware of existing challenges, including concerns about digital divide, information validity, and technology reliability. As academic leaders, instructors play a crucial role in addressing technological challenges and adapting to such changes.
