“…We assessed the gynecological and obstetrical outcomes of 28 patients after ART at a single institution, and no recurrence occurred during a median of 43 months. Table summarizes the literature, which describes ≥10 cases of ART in which the pregnancy outcomes were confirmed, and the recurrence rate of CCA treated with ART was 2.8%. We believe that the reasons for the present favorable oncological results were the use of the criterion tumor size ≤2 cm, preoperative imaging, and the collection of frozen sections during surgery.…”

“…In summary, radical abdominal trachelectomy is one option as a fertility sparing approach for appropriate patients with an invasive cervical cancer. The combined literature, including this series would indicate comparable oncologic outcomes to that of radical hysterectomy and acceptable fertility rates and should be considered in appropriately selected patients, however, longer follow up and more clinical studies are needed to confirm this 4,14 …”

“…Whilst only a small case series of four patients, it represents the only reported Australian experience in the literature of pure radical abdominal trachelectomy. It adds to a relatively small number of international reports on radical abdominal trachelectomy 4–14 …”

“…The literature search yielded a total of 937 studies, of which 355 duplicates were removed; 582 titles were screened against our inclusion criteria, and 452 abstracts were fully assessed. Of those abstracts, 130 full texts were scrutinised, and 51 failed to meet the inclusion criteria, leaving 79 studies for inclusion in our analysis 25,38–115 . Additionally, the literature search yielded several systematic reviews, which were manually assessed, and we identified a further 25 studies not captured by the initial literature search 26,116–139 …”
