The Formation of Dibenzoyl Peroxide in the Autoxidation of Benzaldehyde in the Presence of Lithium Chloride
Abstract: During the autoxidation of benzaldehyde catalyzed by lithium chloride, 26% (by weight) dibenzoyl peroxide is formed. The lithium chloride is responsible for the acceleration of the oxygen uptake and the formation of dibenzoyl peroxide.
