The Form and Ideology of Leyte’s Popular Radio Siday: A Critique

Abstract: This article is a Marxist critique of Leyte’s most popular poetic form – the radio siday. It historicizes the siday’s roots and divergences from the classic satires of the Leyte ilustrados as well as the role played by the writer and the radio station in the production of the form.
