Изучены гербарные образцы, хранящиеся в следующих Гербариях: TASH (г. Ташкент), FRU (г. Бишкек), MW (г. Москва), LE (г. Санкт-Петербург) и TAD (г. Душанбе). Проработана литература и проведены полевые исследования в Узбекистане и сопредельных территориях. В процессе работы установлено, что на территории Узбекистана произрастают двенадцать видов рода Elwendia, четыре из которых приводятся для флоры Узбекистана впервые. Аннотированный конспект рода Elwendia флоры Узбекистана включает: назва-ния видов, основные синонимы, ссылки на литературный источник с первоописанием вида, этикетку типового образца, общее распространение видов. Для видов, представляющих новинки флоры страны (E. kuhitangi, E. latiloba, E. setacea, E. seravschanica), а также для эндемичного E. angreni приведены все исследованные об-разцы в соответствии с новым ботанико-географическим районированием Узбекистана (Tojibaev et al., 2013;Sennikov et al., 2016). Keywords: distribution, Elwendia, flora, synopsis, typification, Uzbekistan. The genus ElwendiaSummary. The revision of the genus Elwendia (Apiaceae) for the Flora of Uzbekistan was carried out. Previous revision was published in 1959. The herbarium specimens were investigated in the following herbaria: TASH, MW, LE, and TAD. Field studies were conducted in Uzbekistan and adjacent countries. Twelve species of the genus Elwendia are recognized in Uzbekistan. Four of them are new for the flora of Uzbekistan. An annotated synopsis of Elwendia in the flora of Uzbekistan includes species names, main synonyms, references to the original description of the species, vouchers of type specimens, and distribution of species. All studied specimens were listed in accordance with the new botanical-geographical zoning of Uzbekistan (Tojibaev et al., 2012;Sennikov et al., 2016) for the new species in the flora (E. kuhitangi, E. latiloba, E. setacea, and E. seravschanica) and endemic species E. angreni. Original identification key of all species of Elwendia in the flora of Uzbekistan is presented. Neotype and lectotype were designated for E. latiloba and E. seravschanica respectively.

This study describes a robust chromatographic authentication methodology for herbaceous pollen, employing gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS), high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and high‐performance thin liquid chromatography (HPTLC) protocols. The comprehensive profiling of organic compounds not only distinguishes between different botanical sources but also establishes a reliable framework for quality control and assessment of herbaceous pollen authenticity. Traces of quercetin were detectable using HPTLC in Chaenomeles japonica, and the composition of the mobile phase led to distinct phenolic acid tracks in the extracts of free phenolic compounds. In Lonicera nummulariifolia, prominent chlorogenic acid signal and traces of 3,4‐dihydroxybenzoic acid were identified, along with the presence of vanillic, trans‐ferulic, p‐coumaric and p‐hydroxybenzoic and sinapic as phenolic acid standards. The HPLC chromatogram identified six peaks representing bioactive phenolic compounds such as gallic acid measuring 5.89 ± 0.56 mg g−1, hydroxybenzoic acid 2.39 ± 0.78 mg g−1 and caffeic acid 2.83 ± 0.11 mg g−1. The combined use of GC–MS, HPTLC and HPLC techniques provides a powerful and reliable means of authenticating the botanical origin of herbaceous pollen, offering valuable insights for quality control and ensuring the accuracy of botanical source identification.

It is time to synthesize the knowledge that has been generated through more than 260 years of botanical exploration, taxonomic and, more recently, phylogenetic research throughout the world. The adoption of an updated Global Strategy for Plant Conservation (GSPC) in 2011 provided the essential impetus for the development of the World Flora Online (WFO) project. The project represents an international, coordinated effort by the botanical community to achieve GSPC Target 1, an electronic Flora of all plants. It will be a first-ever unique and authoritative global source of information on the world's plant diversity, compiled, curated, moderated and updated by an expert and specialist-based community (Taxonomic Expert Networks-"TENs"covering a taxonomic group such as family or order) and actively managed by those who have compiled and contributed the data it includes. Full credit and acknowledgement will be given to the original sources, allowing users to refer back to the primary data. A strength of the project is that it is led and endorsed by a global consortium of more than 40 leading botanical institutions worldwide. A first milestone for producing the World Flora Online is to be accomplished by the end of 2020, but the WFO Consortium is committed to continuing the WFO programme beyond 2020 when it will develop its full impact as the authoritative source of information on the world's plant biodiversity.
